Bermondsey Tube Lifts

Bermondsey_Tube_pngTransport For London will soon begin refurbishing the lifts at Bermondsey Tube station as part of our maintenance upgrade work to keep our lifts safe and reliable.

We will carry out this lift replacement from Tuesday 19 September until Thursday 05 October 2017. Please note that Bermondsey Tube station will not be step-free during this period.

During these works customers can continue to use Bermondsey station via the escalators to platform-level.

Customers requiring a step-free route will be able to use their tickets on local buses:

Customers travelling eastbound from Bermondsey should use No. 47/188/N199 buses from Stop E to Canada Water station.
Customers travelling westbound from Bermondsey should use No. 47/381/N199/N381 from Stop A to London Bridge station.

Customers travelling to Bermondsey station should alight at Canada Water or London Bridge stations, and continue using the local buses noted above.

Customers will be notified of these works via a number of different communications, including emails to those registered for accessibility updates. We will also have information online, in the Metro newspaper, via social media and signs in the station.
