Are you living with or supporting those with visual impairment or sight loss? We are launching EnVision, with a tea party in honor of Sylvie
Robinson, who was one of our Eye to Eye members and who sadly died
recently. Sylvie’s Tea Party is an opportunity for you to come along and meet members of our Eye to Eye group, a social group run by visually
impaired people for visually impaired older people. Please call us to let us know if you are coming along. 2.00pm ,Tuesday, 2nd July 2019, SPC
Our EnVision project aims to work with
partners to provide practical and emotional
support, increasing access to services and
activities for older people living with sight loss and visual impairment through a group of
Practical Eyes volunteers and, secondly, to build an Envision Community to improve understanding and supportive action in the wider community.
Our expectation is that the EnVision project will transform lives. We would expect to see that people who have not been able to get out to activities or to do their shopping, for example, have been able to do so. We would expect to see that their confidence has improved, that they feel more independent, less isolated and less lonely. We would expect our EnVision community to grow in understanding, knowledge and supportiveness.
