Then and Now is a project working with older people to research and document the history of the Pensioner movement in Southwark, the establishment of the first ‘Pensioners Centre’ and older people’s campaigns and action groups, past and present. The project will include:
- A guided walk to the key landmarks, relating to the Campaign For the Old Age Pension
- Speakers and research sessions using the Local History Library, SPC materials and members’ memorabilia
- Oral history, recording and interviewing training
- Developing a commemorative booklet, exhibition and a blo
